By accessing or using our services or hiring Sarasota Marine and Diesel for marine or diesel engine work, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
Scope of Services
Sarasota Marine and Diesel offers mobile and marina-based marine engine and diesel mechanic services, inspections, diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and consulting for vessels and diesel-powered systems.
All services are performed by licensed and qualified professionals to the best industry standards. Specific services are determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary depending on the vessel, location, and service needs.

Estimates and Payment

Estimates provided are preliminary and subject to change upon further inspection.

A service call fee may be charged for diagnostics or travel to off-site locations.

Labor is billed at our posted hourly rate and begins upon arrival at the vessel or job site.

Parts and materials are billed separately and may include a markup.

A deposit or prepayment may be required for larger jobs.

Final payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Late payments may incur a 5% monthly interest or $25 minimum late fee.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.

Failure to cancel may result in a cancellation fee of $100 or one hour of labor, whichever is greater.

Warranty and Limitations

Labor is warranted for 30 days from the date of service.

Parts warranties are subject to manufacturer policies and not guaranteed by Sarasota Marine and Diesel.

Warranty is void if third parties alter or tamper with work performed.

Sarasota Marine and Diesel is not liable for consequential damages, loss of use, towing fees, dock fees, or time lost due to repair delays.

All recommendations are made in good faith, but no guarantee is expressed or implied unless stated in writing.

Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to provide clear access to the vessel or equipment and ensure a safe work environment.

The customer must disclose all known issues, prior repairs, and modifications.

Sarasota Marine and Diesel is not responsible for delays or damages caused by lack of access, weather, or third-party interference.

Liability Disclaimer
All services are provided as-is. While we aim for the highest standard of service, Sarasota Marine and Diesel shall not be held liable for any incidental, indirect, or special damages resulting from the use of our services.
The customer assumes all risks related to marine operations, engine repairs, or deferred maintenance. Sarasota Marine and Diesel is not responsible for the seaworthiness of any vessel unless formally contracted for a full inspection or survey.

Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sarasota County, FL.
